We made a giant leap in technolgy. We networked our dealership and connected the network to a DSL line. All the advisors have PC's, and not take about 2 seconds to get to the GM dealerworld web page. We will soon be using e mail extensively with our customers. We did spend some money, but the gain down the road will be great

We did the same as Mike's Dealership, except we are waiting on our DSL line to be installed within the next 6 weeks.

We upgraded our EDS system a few monthes ago, and as part of that upgrade we got 3 24 port autoswitching hubs. AS400, GM Access, Cable Modem, and Parts Imager all feed in, and you can access any of them from any terminal, except you must have a security block for Parts Imager to work. We went with a cable modem, but I hope we switch over to DSL, as the local cable company is having a very hard learning curve.
