Would appreciate any comments, on the UNIVERSAL WARRANTY , they call it Vehicle One on their phamplet. From the service dept.'s perspective, how is it for getting authorizations, handling customer issues, pricing (they say they pay 'fair and usual cost' to repair) and coverage issues, delays for inspections, anything else that comes to mind. We are looking at utilizing it for used vehicles only.

WE USED UNIVERSAL WARRANTY FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND THEY WERE VERY FAIR AND EASY TO DEAL WITH. SERVICE DEPARTMENT WOULD RATHER USE UNIVERSAL THAN THE EXTENDED WARRANTIES WE ARE USING NOW BUT SALES DEPARTMENT IS NOT SELLING IT ANYMORE BECAUSE COST IS HIGHER THAN SOME OTHER WARRANTIES.

They always seemed to rated high with the EasyCare and GE Capitals of the market. And since they were bought by GM through MIC a few years back, you kind of know they aren't going anywhere
