I had a dealer ask me about setting up an aftermarket accessories department on a consignment basis. I have heard a few dealers who have done this but haven't been able to track down the details ... does anyone have some leds for me.

Rob,

My stores use Vogue Tyre for aftermarket accessories, mostly wheels and tires. Anything that is not permanantly attached to the vehicle is on consignment.

Does that help or have I misunderstood the request?

Vogue Tyre will set up an inhouse program with their people maintaining it. All the dealer does is present the vehicle, they install the accessories, dealer makes the profit. They will need a place to do this. Contact: Voguetyre.com for info.

Yes, but I was also looking at entertainment and equipment companies that will stock a dealership on consignment with DVD, nav, running boards, etc.

Rob,

I called the company I had in mind, and they have closed that portion of their business.
