pay plan for outside sales rep.

Hello, I am looking for input on calculating a pay plan for an outside sales rep for my commercial service department and body shop. He will be calling on commercial accounts. I am paying him a small salary. Am wondering if anyone else has someone on the road and how they pay him? Thanks

Just a thought - pay an incentive on the number of "units" your rep drums up from the commercial accounts. If the rep lands an account with 200 vehicles it certainly means more to you and your shop than an account with 3 vehicles.
