We are looking at putting in a seperate Quick Lube Center modeled after Jiffy Lube, Qlube ,etc (10 minutes or less not the GM standard 29 minutes or less). Has anyone with an ADP system done anything to expedite the service write up & cashering function?

Yes! We work around it! Our Quick lube Writer does Creat the RO in ADP but that is where the process stops from the customers stand point.. We send the vehicle back to the Quick lube rack with 2 copies tear-out copies of the Hardcopy. The lube tech pull's filters out of there pre-stocked cabnet documenting the filter & oil used on both copies. When the vehicle is completed it is returned to the Svc drv & one copy is given to the cashier who collects & delivers. The other copy is keeped on the lube rack and used to place a Parts Req on the computer so parts can charge it out & place in a re-stock bin for the Lube Cabnet. Twice a day the lube rack turns in those copies to dispatch/booker who matches with the Hardcopy, finishs & books out then sends to Cashier to match moneys & close out. Note, we use the 29 minute rule & complete the paperwork as time & work loads allow.
That is the way we do it.. I would hope there is a better way and would love to hear others procedures.

WE USE R AND R, BUT WE GENERATE THE RO, THE TECH NOTES OIL AND CHECKS THE FILTER NUMBER USED ON A PRE-PRINTED TWO-PART FORM. THE CASHIER CHARGES THE FILTER,OIL AND LABOR ON THE RO AND INVOICES. WE HAVE PRESET THE TIMES AND LABOR CHARGES, SO REALLY THE FILTER AND OIL QUTY ARE GENERALLY ALL THAT ARE CHANGED,EXCEPT FOR NORTHSTAR AND CATER LOF'S. THE SECOND COPY OF THE FORM IS TURNED IN TO THE PARTS DEPARTMENT DAILY TO DO A CABINET RESTOCK. SINCE OUR FLAGGING IS DONE BY COMPUTER, THE BOOKING OCCURS WHEN THE RO IS CLOSED. TO SPEED THE PROCESS, YOU CAN HAVE THE TECH MARK HIS NUMBER, THE FILTER, AND OIL QUTY AND LET THE PAPERWORK BE DONE WHILE THE LOF IS BEING DONE, THE CASHIER WOULD KNOW IT WAS DONE WHEN THE KEYS ARE TURNED IN.
