I just started at this Dodge store and we have some Sprinter problem. Are any of you Sprinter stores?
Vehicle will go about 75 miles, start loosing power, stop, restart, go about 20 miles then do this again. Tech is lost. Anyone had any similar problem like this?

Thanks Mike, I'll have my tech check that out. The van was supposed to go out of town today, don't know if he left yet. When it comes in, I'll get back with you and have my tech contact you if he needs to.
Thanks

What fault codes are in the system? I haven't seen any cat convertor problems with Sprinters, the most common problems are the air intake hoses.

We had the air hose problems, a valve or pressure, changed the reservoir? with another known good one. Today they are addressing a fuel pressure problem. They are in contact with Tech assist.
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll let you know when the find the exact problem.

Have you checked for any stored fault codes?Believe it or not most of the fuel pressure problems we run into are fuel filter related. Either dirt or water in the filter can cause a pressure fault which will throw the van into limp in. Regardless of when the customer says they replaced the filter I would start there.

Thanks Art,
The fuel filter was replaced wednesday. The owner just brought the truck back in. The tech will get back to checking again. I'll get codes and an update today.

We have had two sprinters with the same problem you describe in the last couple of months. Both of them turned out to be the ECM.

Our Parts Dept Sprinter had exact same problem. We replaced Turbo Hose and fuel Filter and haven't had a problem since.
