just wondering what some customer pay labor rates are around the country. if you dont mind would you post import or domestic line, type of labor time guide used, and your rate for retail customers. in the event you run a variable rate please post the highest rate you bill under.

also please post your factory reimbursement rate. lets see how evenly the manufacturers treat us by make.

chilton time guide for retail

variable rate with a cap at $77.00 over 6 hours.

warranty rate is $61.76

We are a Pontiac, Buick, GMC, GMC Commercial dealer at this location, retail at $65.00, and warranty at $61.75. outlying city of 50,000, with the metro area within 15 miles of approx. 250,000. Techs are hourly and time is billed by chilton or by previous experience. Minimum $ for electrical and drivability $97.50 and hourly after that.

I think this may be an iteresting topic, especially regionally, as to how the warranty rates vary by dealer/city size.

See labor rates dated 3/21/00. There are quite
a few responses. We are at $84.92 warranty, $95 high end, $89.50 repair, and $50 competitive.

CP Labor rate is variable low end of $33.00 to high end of $68.50. With effective rate of about $54.00. We use Chiltons.

Warranty is $57.80 for Buick and $57.00 for Mitsubishi.

Our location is in central Florida between Tampa and Orlando.

Our internal and customer pay rate is $48 per hour and warranty (Buick/Chevy) is $43.78 per hour. We're located in McComb, Ms. on I55, about half way between New Orleans, La. and Jackson, Ms. Our rates are about average for this area, but I am going to be forced to reevaluate and initiate some kind of increase in the very near future.
