Sublet rentals in ADP

Sublet rentals in ADP

I am new to the ADP system having come from a R&R shop. Looking for ideas on how to enter sublet rentals on the repair orders. Currently our dealership waits to get the rental invoice returned and then writes a separate order. On R&R, we were able to enter the rental in sublet, close the customer pay side of the repair order and then when we received the rental invoice, enter the dollar amount and close the warranty side of the RO. How do you do it with ADP? Writing a separate RO seems wasteful.

Sublet rentals in ADP

There are two ways to enter sublet on a repair order in ADP. The first and IMHO the
recommended way is for the parts department to enter it through function PRO. Parts is usually going to be issuing a purchase order for any sublet, and since the system marries up the purchase order number and repair order number for warning and tracking purposes, this is the best time to enter it to make sure it doesn't get missed. Chance are your parts personnel are already familiar with this process. Whoever in service does the final close and booking of the repair order will get a warning window before the system will let you go further that a purchase order was issued against that repair order. The booker can then view the sublet window (function DSL) to verify.
You can also enter sublet through the service logon in the booking function. ASL is to add sublet (follow the prompts). CSL is to change previously entered sublet. DSL is to display only. Hope this helps you out.
