taking a poll to see who is in charge of the wash porters, detailers for new and used cars in their service departments.

I, as the service manager, am not and have been begging the dealer to put me in charge, instead of the new/ used car managers. We deal with a lot of their mistakes, but have no authority over them, and don't get paid for the grief>

Please help....Brad

I'm assuming by mistakes that you mean you end up face to face with the unhappy customer. I for one would take the customer by the hand and straight to the New/Used Manager to let them resolve the issue. It's all about the accountability. In no way should you be riding heat for something that is out of your control.
