I love the walk around.
We use 2 of our porters in the mornings to pull fluid samples, test the batteries and do a general inspection. They turn their findings over to our advisors. The advisors then use this info to show the customer around their vehicle and suggest maintenance needs.
On average we sell 3-5 batteries a week and do 6-8 flushes per day per advisor.
Showing the customer where the fluids are and telling them the reccommended life cycle. Pointing out tire wear patterns, put the flash light on the serp belt, show the customer the cracks in the belt. Pull the air filter. Visuals are effective. Should not take the advisor mor than 6 minutes to do a walk around.
Good Luck
