Hello,
We are looking to add cordless phones in the parts/service depts. We need to have at least 4 lines. We would prefer small cellular size phones. Does anyone have experience with this?
Best Regards,

We have cordless phones that tie in to our phone system. Mine is connected to my direct line, but I too can use it to answer any line in our dealership, & can page & check my voice mail with it. It is great, especially when I have leave out of my office & someone tries to call me. I just throw it in my pocket & go do what I have to do....love it.

We have cordless phones that clip onto your belt that comes with a headphone as an accessory. Those phones can do almost anthing that our desk phones can. Answer, Make calls, Page. Place on hold, Get messages. Pretty cool a little big in size but hold up for at least a day or more without neeeding to be charged. The charging is done when you place the cordless in its cradle at night. Three years now and only replaced 1 battery. It's part of the TOSHIBA STRATUS system

DautoMan, what DMS is running in your dealership? The reason I ask is that some DMS provders also offer phone systems that integrate the DMS applications into your phones (both desktop and cordless units).

Hi,

I know that ADP does in fact offer a phone system. It's run on the Cisco IP platform. The cons - heavy costs due to the fact that you would have to change out all your networking infrastructure to Cisco. The Pros - integrates with the DMS, can be set to do all sorts of neat things like call customers automatically when their RO is completed on the system or when their special order part is receipted etc.
