regarding the monthly parts transfer.

Would you be opposed to the dropping of the transfer? If so, why and how would it effect your bottom line?

I wouldn't be opposed to it but, a few accounting/payroll things would have to change at the same time.

I am a Parts manager for a dealership that uses GM accounting. An in our case if the transfer went away our expense structure, from rent to payroll and any other expenses that are allocted by dept gross of total gross would go up. So is this something worth fighting for or about.

Changing the way you split the parts gross between departments won't bring more dollars to the store's bottom line, so why bother? To be fair to employees who are paid against gross or net, you'd have to review pay plans, expense structures, etc, a huge undertaking for no real benefit to the store as a whole. Why not concentrate on things that will truly increase the net, so everyone wins?
