Do you require a trial period before offering health insurance and other benefits for new hires?

90 days. All new hires are on 90-day probation and can be terminated at any point. We also reserve the right to send them back for a drug test with no notice during that period without any reasonable cause. (The drug policy has to do with being part of Drug Free TN/Zero Tolorace compliance).

Most dealers I have been into use the 90 day standard. Some states may have specific legal requirements so you might want to check with your state bureaucracy.

At my last dealer if you had been in the Dealership Business for 2 years or longer the Health Benefits started immediately.
