HELP-Using Wins e-claims on dealerworld

Postby tjsmith » Tue Mar 15, 2005 2:31 pm

How do you "H" route a claim on dealerworld using the wins e-claims system?? I think it is by using the comment line & selecting the Wholesale Help option but I am not 100% sure. And what are the other 2 option for?? "product reporting" & "other".

Thanks!!

You're right. Enter comments and then click on the Help botton for routing.

Product reporting is for, umm, product reporting. Like the old Claim Type 9, which wasn't used either. At most if you were a sentinel dealer for early product launch you might be required to into failure data into the WINS system. Like H-routed claims, P and O routed claims take the data out of the normal warranty validation process ... therefore you wouldn't get paid. Which is what happens now until your rep puts the claim back into the WINS claim validation funnel.

Both P and O routing (and claim type 9) are mentioned in the Claims Processing Manual, but neither are explained.

Have fun with eClaims!!

HELP-Using Wins e-claims on dealerworld

Thanks robc,

I normally use DCS through our in house system, but now everytime I "H" route a claim through DCS, my avm rejects it for "tax on parts not allowed"(Codes B6 & B8), even though there is no tax on parts on my claims, plus one claim he is rejecting for this problem is for 6 days rental, no parts at all. We called the DBC, & they said there is no problem, I called my avm, he says that my dealership is only one thats gives him this message, called ADP, & DCS, & no one seems to be able to help me on this, so that is why I was asking about "H" routing claims through dealerworld...I was going to give it a try, but what is crazy is that only my "H" routed claims give me this problem.
