I have had several conversations with the OEM and the Aftermarket folks trying to get a real percentage number of Batteries, Brakes and Tires Sold as a Percentage of Pentration against total repair orders?

These are the numbers I have been given froma OEM and I am trying to see If anyone has these real numbers:

Batteries: 8% Pentration
Brakes: 12% Pentration
Tires: 2 or more @ R/O 16% Pentration

These percentation numbers are for a Franchised Dealership:

Ithink those items may depend on vehicle mix and location, ,a lot of diesel trucks in a cold climate will affect batteries. In my area, oil and cattle, seems like trucks are loaded and towing at the same time, but brakes are mostly aftermarket because of OEM retail price. Tires, worst place in the country to sell tires is Bentonville, AR. Been there, talked myself horse, only to find the customer was one of several thousand employees at Walmart, and could buy the tire cheaper there. Depends on where you are, and the vehicle mix.

This was in northern New Mexico, deer hunters from texas and warmer climates would drive their diesel trucks into cold weather, bingo, they need 2 batteries.
