GM Replacement Engine Warranty Question

GM Replacement Engine Warranty Question

Postby Bailo1 » Mon Jun 02, 2014 2:09 pm

We replaced the engine in a customer's vehicle with a GM reman. engine. Vehicle is still well within the 3-year or 100,000 mile warranty period. Customer has an oil leak now and wants to bring it in later this week. If it's going to be covered, which I'm assuming it likely will be, what transaction type do we use? ZPTI? Is there anything "special" required on our part? Does my tech need to call TAC first? Just curious if anyone out there can help this newbie?

Use "ZPTI" Service Agent Installed for repairs or replacement. See these bulletins: 12-07-30-001 and 02-07-30-029.

"ZPTC" would be used for over the counter sales only.

Thanks! That's the road we were planning on heading down, but I wasn't 100% sure.
