Looking for some ideas to help motivate and give a pat on the back to my staff. For the techs perhaps something like a monthly contest that gives a gift certificate to the tech with the highest fixed right the first time Csi score. Maybe something to my advisors for highest ELR. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Is your intention to give them a "par on the back" for past performance or motivate future performance via a competition? The competition will only have one winner and everyone else will be a loser. Not too sure how motivating this will be. If you want to give encouragement for future performance set obtainable goal for each person and establish a reward it the goal is reached.

DO NOT give them gifts with the store advertising on them! Very cheesy to do so.
Perhaps gift cards to local restaurants in an amount large enough for the family to eat without having to supplement it with their personal funds.

Have a fishing trip promotion for the next 3 months. It is scored monthly and highest total at the end of three months wins. 1 writer, 1 tech, and 1 oil bay tech. Also have a wildcard for the another spot for a person who may not have won but has busted their butt for the contest period. Techs are judged on productivity, csi scores, and punctuality. ASM are scored on the survey KPI's.

We will take the winners on a saltwater trip for the day.
