It is a fairly simple addition to the warranty claim, just put the expense in the right box with Global Warranty and it will pay. Of course with GM there are lots of rules and a few exceptions.
We put the difference on the repair order as "wholesale difference" with cost and sale the same. Warranty administrator "moves" the value to the correct place during submission.
There is a cap to the amount that can be claimed. You must also attach a copy of the purchase invoice to the repair order.
