Time Management Tips

I have heard a number of suggestions over the years, many of them tied to better organization. Office managers have sworn by such low-tech solutions as checklists, folders, calendars, and pre-pulled/stapled contract papers Not only can being organized help save time and reduce stress, it can also help turn contracts into cash quicker.

Many dealership offices are regularly tracking the differences in their trend analysis reports to help see -- faster -- where they have to go. Cross training employees can help make sure you have the people it takes to get there and aren't left in a productivity lurch if someone is unexpectedly absent.

Online titling and registration, where available, can also help, say dealerships.

Please share any other ideas you have -- no matter how basic they may seem. Thanks.

Tickler files, special clip boards on the wall.

"Do it now" practices seem to be best. If you think of it now, do it now. If it has to be done now, do it now.

How the office is set up organizationally can have a huge bearing on productivity.
