We already display cars in a local mall and the next logical step is to rent showroom space.

Lots of traffic. Good idea/bad idea?

We did that for about 2 years. Sold a couple cars a month. The mall was within 1/2 mile of our store, so it was easy to bring prospects to the store for test drives. We staffed it with non-sales personnel who were paid a bonus upon sale in addition to their hourly pay. The mall continued to raise the rent (this was several years ago) so we abandoned the idea. Sold some keychains, apparel and trinkets.
