Good morning Andy,
Appraisals are the weak link in the on-line selling process. I've been sending customers to kbb.com with a little coaching before hand, with some success. I tell them average to fair condition and to be honest about the condition of the car. Then, after they get the KBB value, deduct $1,000.00 for re-conditioning. It's pretty close most of the time.
If anybody has a better method, I'm all ears.
