EDS@NET perks?

On the Order Side; under work with orders, Screen PI301101 (you have to choose an open order to get to this screen), under EDS@NET, you cannot use the Inquiry ('I') function to look at parts to see the factory information. I seem to recall it it the same for Returns, but I don't have an active return to look at currently.

As far as the small type, we run 17" monitors, or 15" flats, the only exception to that is my 19" monitor. ALL my counter people asked to go back to the green screen, with the small type, and the low contast on the Parts Invoicing screen on DMS@NET to be the main complaints. Everyone thought it looked neater, but was very hard to use. I am attempting to reinstall @net on my PC again to try it again, but the other times I tried it, I had to go back to a Rumba-based green screen; and remember, I am a techie...I hate old stuff, but in this case, the old works, the new doesn't, In my opinion.

Richard, did you get the DMS@NET load instructions faxed to you from the customer interaction center a few days ago?

Yes, I did get the newest instructions, and reloaded Sue's @Net on her new Win 2000 PC.

You can try to change your screen from 132 column to an 80 and see if that helps. If not, we do have another version of the Seagull 3.2 that may help with this issue.

As far as information missing from the DMS@NET screens verses green screen if you can send me the screen that the information is missing from I'll look into it.

EDS@NET perks?

Matt,
Guess you cannot get rid of me, even when we have completed our big move?

I agree with the comments of the previous posters concerning small fonts in @Net. Many of my users have gone back to the "green screen" due to the difficulty in reading the DMS@Net screens all day long. In my opinion, this is going to really hamper the deployment of this product unless it is corrected sometime soon. Even on our 19" monitors it is hard to read. There appears to be a lot of real estate on the screen not used by JWalk to display info. How about less gray space and more font size?

Sorry about the post to a new subject, have to read the directions more closely?? Feel free to delete the other.

Rich, understand your concern about the small fonts on the DMS@NET screens, especially around the sidebar areas. Our product development team is aware and will be supplying me with additional information, but in short-term, I do not believe there is a way to easily change the font sizes without giving up other system features.

Will let you know.
