adp labor types

Trying to find out a better way to deal with labor types in ADP. We have 3 pages of labor types for the service advisors to use and the business office wants to add more. This doesnt make sense to me-does anyone know a better way to get different work directed into different accounts without using 3 pages of different labor types. Could use some help or direction-fairly new with ADP

Thanks

There aren't that many different labor accounts. If you'd like to fax, I could take a look and see if I can figure out a rhyme or reason 325, 949, 9152

Let me clarify a little, we use different labor types for accessories, for used car reconditioning , new car inventories, due bills, accessories for used cars, accessories for non toyota, scion etc.. it is more of the internal account that seem to have a different account for everything.

Yes there are different accounts that the various internals post to but the sale/cos are the same. We just use one internal sale type. The debit account that it posts to is easily overriden. It should be just as easy to look up the correct account as it is to look up the correct sale type.

I've never seen it done the way you describe. We review the internals in the acctg office for the correct debit acct before they're closed anyway-we don't really want/expect service to determine that.
