Anyone out there on ARG using RIM yet? Comments?
Just curious as to how it's working.

RIM is in development for ARG and we anticipate Pilot to launch between March and May. GM supplied the RIM specs to ARG in October and this has been one of our key development projects since that time.
Stay tuned...

Just wanted to advise, still on track to General Release for RIM for ARG clients starting in May. Moving into Pilot now and everything is proceeding according to plan.
Please be aware that not only do clients need to sign-up for RIM with GM, they may also need to invest in their system and network to be truly RIM ready. Your ARG Account Manager can make you aware of what is needed beyond the GM software if you have questions.

ARG was certified by GM on RIM for our clients using an in-store server several weeks ago so we are in general release with that client base. Our ASP based clients are just completing the pilot phase with GM and all has gone well. Pilot has to run two weeks and our clock ends on this Friday, so after that we will be in general release with our ASP clients.
We have nearly 75% of our clients that can sign up for RIM signed up, although we are a bit perplexed by those that have yet to sign up with either GM or us. July 1st is looming on the horizin and we are doing our best to install and activate all of our clients as quickly as possible once they are ready.

Don't be too perplexed Matt, if I was a dealer, I'll tell GM to shove RIM. My inventory is cleaner and leaner that it's ever been, I have a 90% off the shelf, and a 95% same day fill rate. Going to RIM will load me down with about 20~25K of stuff that MIGHT sell...I don't like those odds.
I keep hearing people talk on the PM forum about how wonderful it is, I wonder if those same people will be talking it up after it's run it's course, stuck them will a lot of OBS parts and/or parts that GM devalues before they issue that return tag in a year.
Am I a skeptic? You bet! GM has proven me to be a psychic in the past, and I don't expect them to let me down this time either.
