Rumba

Rumba

Matt,
Do you know if EDS plans on sticking with Rumba as far as the integration to ADP. There really is not any problem with Rumba except that EDS has set it up to use the default profile which eliminates any two way communication between your DMS screen and any outside program via DDE. We currently roll our vin's using one key from our rumba session to Parts Imager using a program called winbatch, but it could be done much neater if EDS switched to reflections or at least set up rumba's interface to parts imager so it could use a profile other than the default (when using the default you can't use whllapi or dde).
Thanks
Gerry

Sorry I meant to post this under parts imager.

Gerry,
Thanks for your question. EDS Parts Imager has been working directly with
ADP over the past few months to more effectively deliver seamless
integration between your ADP In-house system and EDS Parts Imager2. EDS
Parts Imager, working directly with ADP, has developed integration with
ADP's newest in-house system, Alliance. EDS Parts Imager will be releasing
integration for ADP Alliance with your June 2000 updates. This integration package requires no software at all. We hope to have
the Unix integration for the 8800 and 9200 boxes developed with ADP's
reflections emulation software in the near future. This would no longer
require to use Rumba. We will keep you up to date via our monthly EDS Parts
Imager News Letter.
