Hello all, my name is Jason Wilhelm, and I am with Alaska Sales and Service, in Anchorage Alaska. Currently we have the EDS Document Manager(DM) program, with DM dumping to an IBM 3995 Optical Jukebox. For a while now we have had a problem with loosing directories on our DM optical platters. We have had hardware open many cases on this issue, RVI has looked into it, our IBM tech has upgraded the ROM, and done some maintence with no luck. We are also having another problem with our Optialc Jukebox, when we try to do a reclaim with *reset, the process will take about 6 hours, which is about 4 hours too long. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and (hopefully) has a easy fix.

Jason,
I've recently talked to Real Vision Inc. (RVI) regarding your DM issues. They have stated that due to your AS/400 being on a lower OS (V3R7) they are unable to provide your system with the necessary IBM PTF that would resolve your issues.
Have you considered upgrading your AS/400 OS to a minimum level of V4R2?
