Stop updates on a part#

Oh, great and wise ADP guru's
is there a way to isolate a part # from being updated?
We had a price increase on oil, and the boss says we are going to "suck it up" until the next mailer. The update tapes ran and adjusted the cost & list of our oil on us. Caused a uproar at the service desk this morning.

Put your oil in a separate source and create a field map in PMU for that source and don't have it update list and trade--you may want it to update cost though...

In function PM, option 'change', you can tab or arrow down to the field at the lower right of the screen that says 'update code'. This will normally be a value of 'U'; if you change it to 'NU', future updates will ignore that part number until you change the value back to 'U'. One warning here though, you will not be aware of any pricing change unless you periodically manually check to see if it changed on the master and then change it manually to match.

Thanks,
We stay on top of the price of oil. It's a sore subject around here. Hence the uproar this morning
