EDS DealerPath Service

Our parts manager showed me your DealerPath ad in Automotive News. Currently we utilize different local internet providers throughout the store and subscribe to a couple of buying services. Will this service work on a non-EDS system? Pricing/Charges?

EDS DealerPath Service

First of all, the EDS DealerPath offering works in conjunction with any DMS system you have installed. The product is independent of the solution you have in place today (R+R, ADP, EDS, UCS, etc).

DealerPath is a service offering that basically supplies all of the infrastructure that a dealer (or any small business) would need to connect them to the internet and provide a secure/safe computing environment.

DealerPath is a joint offering by EDS and IBM, and can be set-up and operational in a store within 30 minutes. The offering allows the dealer to choose the communications they wish (ranging from 56K analog to ISDN, to DSL to TI), and monthly charges are then based on that communication option. Activation fees run $299, and monthly fees range from $149 to $569 depending on the comm option you choose. The best deal is for DSL, in that the monthly fees include all telecommunication charges, where as Analog 56K, ISDN, and TI have associated telecommunications charges that the dealer is responsible for. DealerPath provides connectivity to the internet for 100 users, firewall security, establishment of your domain name, intranet features for your store(s), email handling, remote access, customized internet portals for your team members, and much more.
