What news is there available for the use of Client Access (or even Client Access Express) on Windows 2000 based workstations? We currently run CA for W95/NT with an OS/400 V4R3M0. What options are available to run Client Access on our new Windows 2000 workstations?

There are a couple of options:

The current CA for W95/NT or CA Express will work with Windows 2000 or Windows ME, if you are running a TCP/IP connection. There are some issues with remote locations dropping sessions on standard CA. But, if this happens we would recommend you switch to the CA Express version.

Next, we suggest that you upgrade the AS/400 OS version to V4R5M0. This would resolve all the Windows 2000 issues. Cost of this upgrade is dependent upon what version you are on currently and whether or not you have purchased the IBM Software/Operating System Subcription.

If you're running a Twinax connection, then there are no available options for you to run Windows 2000 or Windows ME.
