Emulation with ProQuest

Does anyone know of any way to get better emulation with the ProQuest system and EDS on PC? I know for GM you can pull the entire list down from the buffer to check availability, but on EDS you can only go one at a time. I don't know if there is a way to have the EDS side pull down from the buffer using the field exit instead of enter.

Use a 'Shopping List'. You can bring over multiple parts that way.

I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with how to create "shopping lists". Is this done through EDS like a package, or through ProQuest? Any helo would be great, because right now body orders or heavy engine jobs are a pain.

Sorry, I'm confused here. Are you using PartsImager, or Proquest? With PI, you have the ability to create a Shopping List, name it whatever you want to (I normally use the ro or #, Followed by the customer name).
If your using PQ, I don't believe you can do it when emulating to EDS, correct me if I am wrong EDSs'ers!!

I have spoken to a dealer using ProQuest as their EPC provider and EDS' DMS and he says he can bring over a shopping list from ProQuest into EDS. I would suggest you contact ProQuest to discuss exactly how this is done as I am not an expert in this area.

Matt, I'm sorry, I found out last week that there is an upgrade coming soon that allows lists to be brought over. One of our sister stores already has it, and it seems to be great. I should have it soon.

Thanks a lot for following up for me.

Happy to help.

P.S., please keep in mind that EDS also offers EPC solutions that you might wish to consider when you get the end of your contract with ProQuest.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, ProQuest is the EPC provider of choice for our entire 21 store company. However, having said that, I did go take a look at one, and I didn't really like it. It might just be that I am familiar with ProQuest, or maybe the guy showing it to me didn't understand it as well as he could, but I didn't like it as much.

On a side note, I noticed that the EDS Imager had group numbers for Saturn parts. Is this maybe a glimpse of things to come, or just a by-product of making more than one carline's imager? That would be great in the long run, AI think that the group system helps a lot, but it would be a nightmare to rearrange my entire inventory!

I understand ProQuest has something in field test that sends part numbers to a window that docks to the EDS screens. It's called the "Integration Assistant" and it works really well. It's due out in early January but you can get on their beta list now if you have an EDS system and call their support center.
