Gross Profit report..

Ok guys and gals, I am up to my ears again, I am looking for a report on ADP to report back to me with the gross profit of my store, in other words

Gross Profit on:
Internal's
Counter Tickets
Cash RO's
Warranty RO's

Something that would break it up like that. I spent in excess of 3 hours today on the phone with ADP only to find out that the report I wanted to run (GP by Customer) would not run saying there were no items. Finally after 3 hours of talking to 3 different people a knowledgeable girl told me my job stack was not configured (something she said was supposed to be set up by the ADP installer(we are a brand new dealer)).. Does anyone else run a Gross Profit report daily? If so what do you run and what info does it give you? Thanks in advance..

We are running ADP Web Suite 1000 and ADP support to me the only way to get any report that would break down cash RO, Internal, Retail, Wholesale GP would be through the DOC accessing through Accounting tap. Which I am still waiting on access from our controller to (he is only in this store once a month maybe).
The only report I can get now is salesman totals. Which really doesn't give me much to work with.

We are on WebSuite 2006 and have our MIR (accounting doc) set up so each of those items are broken out on the parts page, including how many tickets, average gross per ticket, and total gross. Your controller probably would need to set this up for you if it isn't already. Our parts managers run them every day and check for discrepancies - anything unusual, they run an accounting detail for that account.

I am not familiar enough with the parts area to know if there is a "canned" report that will give you what you want.

you can get gross profit
from service go to funtion RAP Then to sA SUMMARY report option is (L) then follow prompts.
this will give repair orders only, not over the counter sales
parts sales and cost of parts

also do have access to daily doc ???
all your info is there

Either get access to the DOC or use PDA.
If you are in management then the DOC should be available to you so you can review it daily
It is a very powerful tool.

Thanks again guys.. I am using PDA for the counter sales works great, and now RAP for the RO side.. I just want to make sure I am reading the report correctly as to how the figures are set up so I will call ADP tomorrow and make sure.. Thanks to everyone who helped me out.. It's amazing how so called competitors since we are in business against each other, can be so helpful and giving to each other.. I guess we Parts people are truly a brotherhood..

I use an AGRO report pulling information from service, body, and parts gross. This report will have the cp ro parts on service and body and it will list warranty, wholesale, and cp inv on the parts break down along with GOG and tires if you are selling them. This report lists all of the accounting information and I recommend looking at it several times a month to make sure that everything looks correct (including expenses).
