ADP Offsite Server (ASP)

Do any of you have your server offsite? If so, how does that work for you in day to day operations?

Do you have a fail over router - 2 internet connections?

Have you ever lost connection (ADP function)? If so, how long were you down?

We have always had the server in house and are looking at the offsite option.

We had this at my old place, about once a year we would have an issue, we might be down for 1-3 hours. For the most part though you wouldn't even know.

Our server is offsite, Michigan I believe. We have two internet connections with different companies. One connection is for ADP, the other for everything else. If one or the other connection fails, ADP automatically switches to the working connection and no one is the wiser. Not having to purchase or lease an onsite server plus maintain backups & updates is a god send.
