The best I can find is:

"Price unit (P-U)
This price unit feature allows you to specify the number of pieces that are represented by the
value in the cost data field. Use the price unit quantity only when you are charged by the
package, but want to sell individual pieces. The number acts as a divisor to determine each part's
price. For example, if you order washers in a package of 100 and are charged $15.00 for the
package, setting the price unit quantity to 100 adjusts each washer to a cost of 15 cents. This
feature is similar to the package quantity, and in most cases should be the same number.
However, the price unit quantity does not affect the calculated order quantity."

In ADP English it is a field that means "Part Unit" and using if forces the system to look and consider only the data applicable to a specific part number. Occasionally other data might 'spill over' into an adjoinging field making the resulting report a bit of gibberish. Sorry to take so long to see this question

Go to English and pull the following report SORT PART-NO. DICT LPTR This will give you a complete list of all the attirbutes on each part number. ADP has a tremendous amount of data available but does and 'almost non-existent' job of telling the users what is there and how to get it. It was not always that way, the the 'new' company is worse than the original.
