I have done business with these guys for a few years now. I have had nothing but good service and good parts. My guy treats me right and we have a good relationship. Dont curse all phone salesguys because of a couple annoying ones. If you get a rep who is good, give him a try.

Shearwater1:

If you are in Florida it is perfectly understandable that a WD in Florida would give you good service, etc. If these guys are a AC/Delco WD, they are expressly forbidden by their WD agreement from soliciting business in other WD's market areas. I would imagine that you deal with an entirely different group of reps for local sales. The problem is that these outfits from other states that obviously have little regard for the terms of their WD agreement have even less regard for the "customers" they call who don't and won't buy from them; and refuse to respect our requests for them to quit calling us so we can have the same pointless and time-wasting conversation over and over again.
I hope you have a backup WD available to you; because these guys are jeopardizing their WD status by not following the terms of the agreement -- they just might eventually lose their WD status and product lines (and deservedly so).

You guys all need to relax. This job doesnt have to be this stressful. These guys are not a wd, they are a legitimate aftermaket wholesale supply company. scott calm down. Im just trying to let everyone know that these guys arent so bad to deal with. life is too short to stress over such small things. What the heck, buy some packing tape, buy a couple parts, make a friend, have some fun during the day. Its really simple.

Shearwater, hard to relax when you tell someone NOT to call you anymore, that you are NOT interested, so they call MORE OFTEN. This is BS....it is harassment, NOT good selling skills. If I had a wholesale customer that asked me not to call on him anymore, I would respect that decision, and NO LONGER call that customer, anything else is disrespectful, and in my mind, NOT someone who I want as a business partner. Captiva, Gulf Coast Automotive, Royal, Great Falls, et al, are not very good people to do business with, if for no other reason, because they will NOT respect my decision, and the owner of my company's decision NOT to do business with them.

Curious, shearwater1 joins the forum 24Feb-just at the start of the contoversey? Seems to be QUITE an advocate of this outfit? The moron that keeps calling me (named Jason)is only offering deals beneficial (bribes) to me. Wonder who we're really talking to here?
