Who has a separate invoice printer for wholesale counter tickets? At what point can you justify the additional printer?

We are doing between 800 and 1000 wholesale tickets a month and they all print in the cashiers office along with all ROs, retail counter tickets and POs. At times the wholesale tickets don't get to parts in a timely manner.

Joe, only you know what you can afford but based on what information you offered I would guess that you average printing about 43 wholesale tickets a day. That probably means that you are selling around $90,000 a month. Depending on how much gross your hanging on to you probably could afford a printer. The real question is probably one of geographics and impact on customer service. We have 6 different printers in wholesale but do a little more volume than you. There is a good business reason for each one.

I know that someone there is trying to save money by using one printer for all jobs, but if you are serious about wholesale you need your own. I manage 2 stores and the smaller one does about 90k and has one, while the larger one does about350-400k and has 2for counter tickets and each has its own po printer plus pick printers.
