GM Return question

Post by partsman103 »

received a "sprinted" part from another dealer that was boxed incorrectly. My questions:
1- what do you use as the 3 digit pdc # ? Do i use DS as the pdc?
2- Part was shipped via fed ex so what do you use as shipment # ? Do I use Spac Case # as shipment#?

I contacted SPAC and was told to contact my facing PDC.

DS will be the facility #. If you need the shipment # you need to call SPAC and they can give you the shipment #.
Just had the same thing happen to me last week. It does'nt happen to be an armrest does it?

You should definitely check with your PDC. Ours told me to reverse the order number with the shipment number. Location DS. I did it and it worked. Mine was a damage claim, though.

Thanks everyone.

And no it was not an armrest....it was a headliner for a GMC Terrain that was sprinted by a dealer from NM. :x

I was sprinted 2 headliners from dealers last month both of them damaged and poorly packaged. It was 27 days from start to finish, at least 10 phone calls, 5 different tracking #'s because they kept bumping carriers and endless amounts of paperwork to get them returned. I finally got a good one from 76 which GM graciuosly overnighted to me at MY expence. Thankfully we had a VERY understanding bodyshop customer.

I've never gotten a decent headliner sprinted in. Probably 0 for 5

partspuma: Next time put in for a freight reimbursement. I've done it, but make sure you use the "original" order date and down in the comments field make sure you you highlight the order and received date. It works and if you do not have the form just shoot me a fax # and I will send your way.
