Damn CMayne, you got me by a year. I've been doing this for ONLY 42 years. We've both seen alot of "Stuff" from the
General, ESPECIALLY the lies. But, I'm NOT BITTER at all![/quote]

Still remember my first counter customer looking for a console door for a 1970 Camaro. Took me forever to to find a "seat separator compartment cover". But then again I can still remember "discounts and allowances" as well !!!![/quote]


Ya, things like Wholesale Compensation, Weekly Stock Orders, Target Parts. I will say I went on alot of nice trips,tho. (Hawaii,Paris, Copenhagen, Denmark cruises, etc). Made it easier to put up with the BS. Unfortunately, those days are looong gone, never to return.

You know, for some reason or another I never made any of the "spiff trips". Gave a couple away though. Even the latest at "Awards HQ", most of the time the economy sucked so bad I could not give my people a raise so I gave them the "brownie points", after all they were the ones "making the money". Worked my whole life for the "family owned" Dealerships, ya know the ones GM is trying to kill off, and have ALWAYS been VERY well treated. Must be close to the age where enough is enough because every time I get wind of how corporate whores run their process it just makes me want to go balistic. They have COMPLETELY lost any sense of good business practice and replaced it with "immediate satisfaction" (greed).
The "proof" is in cheap as possible ignition swithes and lock cylinders, and crow taste pretty good with a few potatoes!

Got my first 2 this morning. The control #s were my RO #. I pulled the RO's out of my folder, billed out the new #, cut the keys, wrote the RO on the box, taped it back together and handed the ROs to service. The rest is up to them. Just as I had planned it out
