Cancelled: Not a valid VIN for recall

Cancelled: Not a valid VIN for recall

Postby TROUT » Wed May 14, 2014 4:58 pm

Have any of y'all recieved an answer back like this for 14063 and 14113? This is a first for me, ran VIS for vehicle, double checked VIN, everything checks out.
Customer only brings vehicle here for service, so double order is not possible.

SPAC is no help at all, they just refer me to the bulletin. They won't even talk to me about why it was cancelled. What do you do in a case like this?

Any help will be appreciated.

YES! And they have all been generated at night. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR PREVIOUS DAY'S ANSWERBACKS FROM NOW ON, EACH MORNING!
I also have only found a real issue wi a couple. Most of them are not duplicated and have the correct VIN. :?:

Denise
This part was ordered on 4/23 and was cancelled on 4/25. The crazy thing is that I didn't recieve the cancellation until 5/12.

That's when I began to notice them, then went back the allotted 6 days to check unread answerbacks. Found a slew of them!

Some of them don't even show being on order to begin with, unless you look in Order Detail, not back orders. What a mess!

That's all I've done is just re-order and hope that it was on one GM has in a rental. No point in talking to ANYONE as they have not got a clue as to what"s going on any way.

Someone that it's happened to needs to create a DFOAB issue about it. If it happens to me, I'll be going there

It would be good if they would actually send us a list of all the good orders we have pending. They have it so messed up and no one seems to be able to get it right. Right after I typed this I received an answerback with 14 canceled, they were actually duplicated when Global had a meltdown and we weren't sure if the orders were processed. Just more work to do thats all.

Yeah I ordered 6 on 5/1 under one control #. I just got an answer back stating "Duplicate VIN for Recall". Wonder which one it is? Apparently we need to order these with one control # per part #..?

If you go into workbench and pull up the order in "View order status summary", you can click on the order number. Another screen will open. Look at each order under that control number and you will find the ones that cancelled. If the order was input correctly, the VIN# should display.
