Pile of ignition kits

I noticed this at our loading dock this morning. Pretty much an everyday occurrence now with this recall.

Our Fedex guy was wondering what this must be costing GM in freight charges. :o

Really rough math here but if the cheapest OVN freight charge for a dealer is 9.34 and we all know gm makes a profit on everything. Lets say they pay 4.67 per package @ 2.2million recalls
that's just a tad over 10 million dollars in freight alone!

Plus another $25-30.00 or so in labor for the .3 hr they allow to pack up a return.

That's how they deliver your parts? I guess I had better get my FedEx guy a Christmas gift!

What? No LAMBDA seat belt rework kits (23247593) in that pile? We received 38 this morning on FedEx, each on it's own SPAC case, each in a seperate envelope. Still 160 more on SPAC cases, and I ordered 12 more today!

Well, it's not as bad as it looks. It's a loading dock that's higher than the deck of his truck so he is actually pitching them straight out of the truck, not just throwing them on the floor like it looks in the pic.

.3 admin fee=approx. $35 X 2.6 million campaigns=$91,000,000
$6.10 UPS charge X 2.6 million campaigns=$15,860,000

Approx. total for returns = $106,860,000.00

to pay for lunch.
