Seat belt anchor kit 14187

How are you tracking your open orders for this anchor kit? I am getting an average of 10 requests per day for them but only receiving 1-2 from GM. Do I hold them for customers that have been waiting or give them to the ones that are here now?

We are trying to mark them. I don't understand why they are changing the Control # I put in and making the control #RECALL. It makes it hard to keep track of them like that. Just limit the amount you can order by your dealer code at one time and be done with it. Geez why do they have to make this so hard.

Done a little of both

I keep a list in the order of who I'm told to save them for. Lately I've just been telling service when I get one (one a day - plus iron) and they pick who gets them. Makes no difference to me. I know we had a few Enterprise cars that can't be rented when there's a recall on them so they just sit here taking up space. So those got taken care of right away. We also have tourists here in the summer so a couple went to them just cause they were here at the time

We're filling out S/O card on every request unfilled due to insufficient stock. Although we can't process these orders, someday we will, and we have a record of who needs them. Over 150 cards and 5-10 more every day, way more than the pittance GM is allocating.

We started saving names until GM cancelled all of our spac cases and orders. Now we are just telling customers parts are not available and they will be getting a letter in the mail from GM when they are. Got enough special order recall parts to keep track of as it is.

I confused.... originally we ordered them under the customer name, then GM said they will just send them out on a regular, non-CSO basis themselves. The last bulletin stated they are going back to the CSO order method, but when they listed the parts that need to be CSO orders, it was just the seat belt tensioners, NOT the 23247593, which is only what most of the vehicles need. So do I CSO the 23247593 with a VIN#?

Please help me, sorry it was off-topic a bit from the original post...

This is the e-mail message we received from our rep this morning.

[b]The belt anchor kit is still restricted which means you can not order it yet.

Yup, "Restricted". I tried to order about 4 of them and it canceled out.
In a conversation with another dealer friend of mine this morning I come to find out he has 1100+. He is sending me 50 today on a cost for cost basis. The one that I get out of GM every two or three days just is NOT cutting it, so screw them, it's time to take care of the customer and for $9.00 shipping that is just what I am going to do!!!!!!!!!!

LOL - the fact that he has 1100 of them along with the other dealers that ordered that many at a time is the reason the rest of us are taking it in the ass right now

So those stupid assclowns at GM wouldn't let us order more than 20 of those friggin clips at a time for the other airbag recall 3 months ago but let these kits just fly off the shelf in any quantity at the beginning.

Where's my damn survey?
