JOB OPENING ...NOR CAL

Postby btk » Fri Oct 31, 2014 3:09 pm

Hey everyone,

My owner has reached out to me to help in search of Fixed operations director for large volume Toyota dealership in SF Bay area.Private owner store...great guy to work for.Great company but they need a high energy person to replace retiring fixed operation director. Large volume, diverse data base , multi cultural languages spoken... 18 service advisors 68 techs plus lube guys..trac rental cars..etc. If you know or have any interest please let me know and I will share my email to forward resume. I have been with this company for 5 years and by far best company I have worked for, they understand that fixed operations is how you win in this business and he believes the most important people in the organization are parts and service managers and employees and they are not afraid to pay.I am fixed operations director for his Honda store and he doesnt clock watch or tell you what hours or days to work just wants the job to get done.

Thanks

I get to tear you apart on this one!!!!!!!!!!!LOL
Bay area is NOT No. Cal. It is Central Cal. I hope it is a GREAT paying position as it cost a minor fortune to live there. I left there back in 1980 as I could not deal with the "cultural diversity", but then I am just a "redneck". I still have a son that lives there (Campbell) in their $750,000 house that you could buy in "No. Cal." for about $185,000 (or less).
In all reality I worked for a "Family owned Dealership" in Sunnyvale and they were WONDERFULL people to work for and I hope you find a good person to fill your needs!!!!!!!!!!!

OK I will give you the Nor Cal thing and yes cost of living is high but the pay is as well. I live 62 miles away from this dealership and commute 2 hours one way to work because of the housing prices. I keep trying to convince the wife to move to Humboldt and check out of the madness but no luck so far.

Btk: A lot of people enjoy it "down" there, or else there would not be millions of them. Weather is great and some of the best land in the world. To bad they covered it in cement, which is part of the reason I left. Yup, the pay "usually" is compensatory to housing prices. I commute 7 miles and I still think that's to far, but a 2300 sq foot house on an acre surrounded by trees and shrubs that makes for privacy that you would not see down there for any price makes the move well worth it. Take your sweetheart for a week or two (just time to unwind) and I hope she begins to understand that it aint all about high dollar living.
Once again I hope you find the one you are looking for!
