C+15% on parts for personal vehicle. Techs can and have lost ALL discounts for doing sidework. Labor rate is discounted $20~30 per hour, and tires are only marked up $5 over cost.

Cost +10 for employees immediant family only. Not your uncles newphew twice removed. Tech on side work cost +25.

We were Cost + 25 for a long time like our sister store, but the GM started flipping cars and didn't like the mark up so now we are Cost + 10 on everything. We don't write RO's on employee vehicles unless it's an oil change and we want the records or we are wanting the lifetime warranty or it's warranty. We all just negotiate terms with the techs for doing the work. That is why I haven't busted the techs b*lls about side work. We all get a pretty good hook up when we need help so I let them buy at +10 for the side work, plus it's hard to argue about side jobs when the GM's new flipping hobby is done in our shop by our techs on company time.
