GM Leaking PF63's

GM Leaking PF63's

I know we're not the only ones... Seen DFOAB comments, read the PI's on SI, filed Field Product Reports, WPC is calling for them back...

Anyone else out there seen leaking PF63's (and for that matter 48's too or any other GM oil filters) leaking within a few hundred miles of LOF?

Yes, service manager told us to throw them all away and order new ones, or start using aftermarket- he's so tired of hearing people bitch about them leaking; and I'm tired of hearing him. I won't bother to post to the DFOAB anymore, they lie, cheat, and steal, and anything you post about will come back to bite you later.

Had a couple several weeks ago. It was easy to determine what was wrong. The plate with the threaded hole was welded to the filter at an angle causing one side of the seal to leak. They wouldn't leak when installed but leaked the next day or within a few miles.

Look across one that has leaked - if you have the same issue - it will be visible.
