So can GM not track it if its not on an RO?

GM Does not track "counter invoices". No way to do it unless you are "forced" to add VIN #'s. Give them a chance and soon they will "demand" it!! :o

Wait, I thought I remembered when all this SLP crap started them saying counter tickets DO count against us??? Am I wrong?

No way to tell what it went on. I have a lady friend with a 1951 Studebaker P/U with a 350/700R4, I dont think the VIN will match. No "loyalty" tracking on Invoices.
You can bet your bottom dollar it's going to show up though. I can see the customer now...... WTF do you mean I have to give you a VIN # to sell me an oil filter???? How about you FO&D while I go somewhere else!!!!!!!!!

These days I do need a VIN to look up an oil filter. We have 29 different ones in stock, another brilliant engineering move by GM!

So does GM track Parts Counter Tickets towards Sales loyalty or not?

i have noticed the last 2 times i billed out weathertech mats out on a parts invoice (not a service RO) that they have been showing up as non-recognized GM numbers and were indeed held against my loyalty....

That definitely should not be happening. That report even lists the repair order # they were billed on so if it's really happening, you should make a call to someone to get those removed.

That would be like them telling us our technicians can't drive Hondas or Toyotas and buy parts for them from us
