What do you do when.....
Corvette recall....order new exhaust system per recall and customer cancels appointment because they sold car out of the area?

Do not have enough return to cover the bolts.....let alone the exhaust parts

Try a shipped in error; put customer sold car in notes field.

You know it is a sad situation when we the dealers get hung with something and then we have to beg for a favor. That Great GM Feeling isn't so great anymore.

I have had success returning excess recall parts using the old PC659 form, choosing Other and putting Recall Parts in the blank next to that. I then list the part information to fill in the blanks, and put the recall number in the comments field. I saw the procedure in a class in GlobalConnect once, made a copy of the page with the procedure on it, and kept it! Of course, I may have left it in the desk at my last dealer, but I will look when I get home for certain.
