GM WARRANTY CORE

GM WARRANTY CORE

We returned a GM transmission BEFORE the claim was paid in full. Now GM WPC wants it back. I've been paid for the core.

What have you done in the past to get the claim from being debited? Or, once debited, getting it paid again?

Get a hold of the PDC crossdock immediately and see if they still have your transmission core. If they do ask them to send the core back to you - DO THIS NOW!!!

If you can get the trans core back then simply send it to the WPC.

If you cannot get the core back you are probably (95-100%) going to receive a full claim debit. This is all labor and all parts. Your dealer / GM won't be happy.

Take a look at your internal policy and adjust - if necessary - so this doesn't happen again.

BUT FIRST TRY AND TRACK DOWN THE CORE, MAYBE YOU CAN GET IT BACK....even if you have to send a truck a few hundred miles to get it, do it.

What's sad is Hollingsworth Logistics is 32 miles from the WPC. We have called Hollingsworth (1-877-888-1220) and had them ship us back injector cores. Trans core?
Might be fun. Call DMA and get him involved. He might wave it for you.

We have had this happen too..
were able to have a shipping company pick up the trans from Hollingsworth Logistics and take it to WPC, with out shipping it all the way back to the Dealership. was much cheaper then the Debit. it will take a few phone calls to get it all coordinated

good luck.

Had this happen a couple of years ago. "Last chance" is to call Focus Hope where the cores are sent for distribution. Have the part number and the shipping info, including date. Focus Hope is just across town from the WPC. They will, if they still have it or have not recieved it yet, ship it to the WPC. It WILL cost you the shipping but that is way better that getting a complete charge back.

This happened to us about 6 months ago,had a carrier take it from the core center to the WPC.
After about 90 days and the involvement of DMA situation was handled.
