We bought a low strength magnet by the sheets, had my drivers cut them to size in their down time. Ordered adhesive backed part tags...Really makes adding new stock or pulling parts for returns simple. Plus you pull the label off, and you can reuse them.

We started using Card Stock as well years ago.

I made an Excel form where you can input group, description and parts number. Group and description at top of label, the larger part number in center.

I usually add new numbers after approving for stock or Special Orders put into stock locations.

Formatting can be changed to suit anyone's desired appearance. Just save it as a template the first time, then rename it after you begin filling. The contents can always be cleared and saved again as a template.

Not trying to hijack the thread,but. I don't understand why anyone would still be putting part #'s on bins. Location labels is all that is needed. Once you have your bins set up that way you very seldom if ever have to print labels.
