So Collision Link Plus HAS to be ordered to begin seeing list prices again? Or is this just for more Bump the Competition?

We are on Autosoft and if a part number does not have a list price, as in the old target part days,it will show what ever we have set to mark up and also mark down to a pre -set trade price. IF there is not going to be a published lit price from GM, I guess we'll try things this way and see how it goes. It is like a lot of pricing gimmicks these days, you really never know what you are paying up front.

We are moving to DealerTrack and I don't think this will interface with it, sounds like we are in the same boat. Thanks for your reply.

If your DMS is onboard with the launch of this POS mess, I believe the “plus” allows to interface with your DMS. Transmitting an order with "their" list and selling price into your invoice. Something tells me that it might not be a good idea to let a third party take control of my business.

Has anyone on ADP/CDK gotten the pricelink import function to work?

I called the other day because I had an issue importing to ADP/CDK. OEC told me it was a DMS issue, so I called ADP/CDK and they told me that we have to be on the most recent release of Drive to get the full functionality. There is a "Shift F5" option that will appear when at the part number entry field when we have the newest release which will allow us to pull the quote from MPL. (We haven't been updated since 2010, and no one knows why... ).

Does anyone know if a lot of insurance companies are already using this MPL quote system? I don't remember seeing anything like that on the last couple estimates that came through.

We also run Autosoft and we are also going let it set up the list and trade prices for the parts on the price tape that don't have them when we do the update. Any ideas on what percentages you are going to use? It looks like List on collision parts has a 40% margin so about a markup of 60% and trade looks like cost + 25%. I would appreciate your input. And anyone else who is running Autosoft for that matter.

Our Autosoft is set as , If Trade is missing on the tape, price will be computed as a discount from List of 25%. Alternately if the Trade is not on the tape, the price will be computed as a "markup" from cost using 25%. If a discount from List is selected and the computed Trade price is less than the markup from cost, the "markup method will be used. If the List price is missing from the tape, the markup will be 40%. This formula is pretty close to what the published prices were. I hope going forward to be able to leave this alone.
