Billing radio/cluster handling etc on RO's

Postby LOWAIRD1964 » Wed May 25, 2016 6:26 pm

I know this has been asked before but I couldn't find my answer. With loyalty and all what is the best way to bill out and collect for radio/cluster handling fee's, and junk yard, aftermarket parts. Transmissions, DIFFS, ETC. I currently have a 2500 hd reman Transfer case coming in for a customer that's over $1000 that I am going to be billing out on repair order.

As far as radios/clusters, I bill the GM part number that the ESC has on the statement with the cost that I want to get. I haven't had anything reject on those. Your used/reman/salvage parts are a whole different animal. Any big ticket items that insurance companies want us to use in lieu of GM parts, we put in sublet to keep loyalty numbers up.

For the large item we had a customer purchase a engine from us that we obtained from a salvage yard. We got them a better price than they could on their own. We billed them out on a counter ticket. Then he asked if we could install it. Win Win

Now do I have to set a special sublet up or something so it draws from 242 and parts get the credit? I thought on sublet service makes all the $$$$

Since it only happens a few times a month here, we let the our accounting lady know what we're doing and that it would need to reflect on 242 and not 246.
