GM ACCESSORIES - NO LONGER 3/36 (P&L)???

So GM is getting away from warranting "GM" accessories. They are leaving it to the manufacture. The manufactures are covering the PART ONLY. How are you guys & gals handling the LABOR? My GM Rep states: "since Lund is covering the warranty on these parts--the labor would not be covered. I know, I have heard others say the same thing but some of the GM accessories are handled this way". What happened to the 3/36 bumper-to-bumper warranty IF installed at the dealership? Am I missing something here?

We warranted some vent shade and the claim rejected, they covered the labor only. EGR sent me a set of replacements but the parts dept received zero compensation .

Correct. I posted a DFOAB issue about this several months back after we got hosed on a hood deflector. The issue was forwarded to Major Stewart, ADI Network but I never received so much as a phone call. I make sure to remind my ADW accessories rep of this when she is in here pushing our sales dept. to move more accessories.

Unfortunately you have to have an hourly tech take the old one off and put the new one on since they don't cover labor.
I have had no problems getting the warranty parts from LUND so far just email photo of damaged part and invoice from original purchase then they send you a new one.

Since GM is not warranting the parts, why not buy directly from the aftermarket and save the GM mark-up?

Two broken window vent shades later our shop wont install the in channel gaurds, lund will not pay labor claims and gm wouldn't pay either, took two months to get replacements from lund, just to get a return credit from adi.
